Memories of a friendship: Pam

Created by pammlowrey 10 years ago
When I met Adrienne in 1984, she was already a mum to her two lovely kids. She and Rose helped me to come to terms with some heavy things. I loved her friendship. She had a huge capacity for living, laughing, tenderness, hospitality and honest friendship. She adored Jack and the kids and, of course, her mum and dad and wider family, and her home really was a home - an extension of her personality - to which she welcomed all. Harry and I have lovely memories of Whitby, where there was always a place for our camp bed at the Coutts - and, of course, Christmas and New Year at Meadow Cottage - it was unthinkable to go anywhere else. A present from the tree, gorgeous food and lots to drink - games, singing, playing, friends; pure joy. Adrienne and I had lots of fun sharing the 'Stormalong John' years; travelling to many festivals in the UK, France, Germany, Holland and Poland. So many happy memories. I am so glad to have known and been friends with Adrienne.
